We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity at RoSPA for a Data Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As we embark on our journey towards a more data-centric approach, we seek a dynamic individual passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive our mission forward.

This will be a pivotal role in a business that is on a journey to become more data centric. The responsibilities of the role will include analysing and interrogating data across RoSPA's systems and collaborating with all departments to design and build reports, visualisations and dashboards to produce insights, identify trends and aid the organisation in making data-driven decisions and strategies.

Furthermore, your leadership will guide our employees to adhere to best practices, governance, and regulatory requirements. By fostering a culture of data integrity, you will empower stakeholders to confidently rely on our data systems, ultimately shaping our strategies and helping us achieve our goals.

  • Experienced with data from a variety of sources, including internal databases and external data sets, and use techniques and tools to analyse data and identify trends, patterns, and insights, and assist with drawing meaningful conclusions from data and translating them into actionable recommendations?

  • Skilled at working with departments and stakeholders to understand and develop their data requirements?

  • Able to query databases and data structures and assist with the ongoing maintenance of business data systems, including assisting with the acquisition and mapping of data between systems from various sources, and efforts to cleanse and improve the quality of data as required by the business?

  • Experienced in creating reports, dashboards, and visualisations for use across the organisation. Support efficient, stable, usable reports within our business systems, using BI software and other reporting tools to provide high quality data and analytics, to support decision making and continuous improvement across the organisation.

  • Skilled in providing internal customer support and troubleshoot issues with data and reporting. Work closely with colleagues to identify causes of data issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Experienced in providing that documentation and training around the use of data reporting systems is organised and maintained. Explain and present complicated topics in a simple, straightforward way to non-technical users.

  • Able to support and take the lead on our main digital transformation by acting as representative for the department at meetings, providing problem resolution, writing process flows and overseeing project delivery. Leading on department User Acceptance Testing and cascading system training throughout the team?

    Do you have …?

  • A BSc in Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent?

  • Experience of working as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role?

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information and explore it for insights and trends with a high degree of accuracy and reliability?

  • Experience of querying and exploring large datasets, SQL databases and managing data in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Dataverse environment?

  • Proficiency in of languages such as Python and R for data manipulation and analysis?

  • Experience with tools like Power BI or Tableau, to create insightful visualisations?

  • Awareness of the use and benefits of machine learning algorithms and AI tools?

  • Knowledge and experience of cleansing and improving the quality of data for analysis?

  • The ability to clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating reports and presentations to stakeholders that give the insights from the data?
