Job Title:Data Analyst / BI Analyst

Location:Hybrid

Starting Salary:£27,000 - £35,000

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:UtilisePower BIandSQLto analyse data, create reports, and deliver actionable insights to support business decision-making. Familiarity withTableauandPythonis a plus.
  • Process Optimisation:Analyse and document workflows, processes, and data interactions to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Dashboard Development:Design and develop interactive dashboards in Power BI to visualise data trends and support business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements, set expectations, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical deliverables.
  • Requirements Documentation:Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation, user stories, or functional backlogs for development teams.
  • Support Agile Development:Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups, to ensure timely delivery of data-related projects.
  • Quality Assurance:Validate data accuracy in reports and dashboards, ensuring outputs meet business and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a BI/Data Analyst, with hands-on experience inPower BIandSQL. Experience inTableauorPythonis a bonus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency inPower BIfor building reports and dashboards.
  • Solid SQL skills for querying, transforming, and analysing data.
  • Experience with data visualisation best practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
