This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI), a highly interdisciplinary research centre addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence (AI). Funded by the Leverhulme Trust, CFI is based at the University of Cambridge, with partners in Imperial College and UC Berkeley. The Centre also has close links with industry, policymakers, and many academic disciplines.

The Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH) supports world-leading research and teaching that investigates and shapes technological transformations and the opportunities and challenges they pose for our societies, our environment and our world. You will be part of the friendly and supportive ITH administrative team and have the opportunity to work alongside cutting-edge researchers and our teaching team.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre. You will lead the administrative team, line managing the Research Grants Coordinator, Postgraduate Coordinator and Communications & Alumni Engagement Coordinator. You will be a key member of CFI's management team and will be responsible for the overall administration of all the Centre's programmes and projects. You will ensure professional support in the areas including research management, financial strategy, HR management, programme and project administration.

You will support the planning and delivery of the centre's educational programmes, and will ensure the effective running of the Centre's administration and operations, and support the Strategy Group and Operations Team in developing and implementing their strategy.

You will be a well-organised and adaptable team player with a commitment to providing a high-quality service to staff and other stakeholders. You will be skilled at managing competing priorities and be able to move between tasks at short notice to meet deadlines. You will work, collaboratively within your team and across other institutions within the University, sharing best practice and facilitating continuous improvement.

The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2027 in the first instance.

This is a full-time role, but we would also welcome part-time applications for 80% of full-time hours or over (at least 29.2 hours per week). The role is primarily based in our offices in central Cambridge, but we do support some hybrid working.
