Role: Carbon & BESS OriginatorLocation: Remote ( Based in the UK)Salary: £50 000 - £65 000 + benefitsOur client, a dynamic and rapidly growing energy company, leverages AI tooptimize energy assets and create routes to market for green assets, supporting the globalnet-zero mission.With operations spanning internationally and a strong commitment tosustainability, the company has doubled its workforce over the last 24 months, driven bythe goal of fostering a cleaner, greener world.We are looking for a driven and experienced Originator to source, evaluate, andoriginate new carbon and BESS optimization deals, leveraging a strong energybackground and analytical expertise to meet company objectives.In this role, you will be responsible for:Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities throughrelationship-building with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.Leadership: Establish and oversee a profit center focused on carbon andemissions trading, encompassing trading activities, risk management, andcommercial strategy.Evaluation: Assess and secure new BESS and SaaS deals, ensuring compliancewith company standards and risk guidelines.Reporting: Create and deliver comprehensive proposals and reports to seniormanagement.Tendering: Oversee the tender process for front-of-the-meter assets, ensuringprompt and high-quality submissions.Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure agreementsthat benefit both parties.Monitoring: Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to establish mutuallyadvantageous agreements.Collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as data science, legal, compliance,trading, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing.Pipeline: Keep a strong pipeline of potential deals and monitor their progressusing CRM and other tools.Networking: Participate in industry events, conferences, and networkingopportunities to represent the company and grow business connections.Job Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.Experience: At least 2 years in origination or a similar role within the energyindustry.Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Relationship Building: Demonstrated success in developing and maintainingprofessional relationships with clients and industry contacts.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.Attributes: High self-motivation, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamenvironment.Attractive Compensation Package:Competitive salary with up to 50% performance-based bonus31+ paid days off annually, increasing over timeGenerous pension contributionsMarket-leading medical cover with BUPA or a medical allowance optionSelf-development fundingSupportive and inclusive work environmentPaid maternity and paternity leaveFlexible and hybrid working modelJoin and be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of energy with innovativeAI solutions and a commitment to a zero-carbon worldyour opportunity to driveimpactful change and excel in a rapidly expanding global company awaits!Apply today!TPBN1_UKTJ
