Business Development Manager (AI Products)

Business Development Manager (AI Products) opportunity with an expanding AI product house based in London, Battersea (SW11) – hybrid working model.

Our Client is part of a multi-national committed to innovation and technology, with operations in over 50 countries. They create a suite of AI products for large enterprises across a diverse portfolio of sectors. They access a wide source of business data from across the globe, which offers a unique opportunity to design, lab-test and trial scalable business solutions in a reliable and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Identification and development of a pipeline of new business opportunities across UK and Ireland - Initial sector focus is the utilities space – Power, Gas, Water, Ports etc.
• Achieve Total Contract Value on new business in the first year and retention targets in subsequent years.
• Lead customer-facing engagements and shape project pipelines.
• Working with partners to identify potential valuable insights and services across multiple potential data sources
• Work closely with the Data Science and Engineering and Product management teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, Industry influencers and Group stakeholders

Requirements

• Previous software product / data / AI business development experience (£250K+ average deal value)
• Solid understanding of data analytics technologies including main data science and big data platforms
• Have experience of managing / mentoring / driving sales teams.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and negotiate contracts
• Good interpersonal skills for leading meetings and delivering presentations as part of pre-sales engagements and programme execution.
• Industry knowledge within the Utilities / Infrastructure / Retail etc sectors (desirable)

Remuneration

• Starting salary - £100K
• Annual bonus – £40K (paid quarterly)
