Our Data & Analytics team is responsible for implementing our Data Strategy to generate business value from trustworthy data, by delivering business insights and supporting strategic decision-making.
BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – Data Analyst Intern (July 2025)
We are looking for a motivated and curious Data Analyst intern. Someone who is passionate about solving problems and wants to be involved in using our business data to generate real business value and drive the future direction of our business.
We are a diverse team of around 25 who love what we do and have fun doing it! We encourage experimentation, curiosity, and self-initiative and we have a strong focus on continual learning and development. The world of data & AI is changing rapidly, and we need to keep up with this.
What will you be doing?
As a Data Analyst intern in the Data & Analytics team at BMW Financial Services, you will develop skills in:
Programming for data analytics and data science using Python and SQL. Data visualisation techniques using tools such as Tableau and Qlik Sense. Databases and data warehousing using AWS cloud infrastructure. Preparing and modelling data for use in data analytics or AI. Agile project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence Data governance and data management.
You’ll have opportunities to work on real projects, putting your learning into real industry practice.
Qualifications and Experience
Studying for a degree in computer science, mathematics or similar and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above. Must have strong A Levels grades in numerical subjects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong programming skills in any language. Interest in data topics such as data science or data analytics. Ability to work on own initiative (with support/mentoring as required). Outgoing and confident with a professional approach. Must be willing to take on responsibility and deliver to timelines.
