• In this keyrole, you’ll be focussing on driving the adoption of empiricalscientific research methods within the NatWest Behavioural Riskteam and wider Internal Audit sector

Whatyou’ll do

As a BehaviouralRisk & Applied Empirical Science Audit Manager, you’llcollaborate with audit experts to understand critical businessassurance and sustainability questions. You’ll work closely with adiverse group of talented and accomplished behavioural and datascientists, identifying opportunities for innovation, gatheringresources and owningimplementation.

You’llalso:

• Guide morejunior colleagues in designing feasible research approaches, aswell as in executing and interpretinginsights
• Develop and manage effectivestakeholder relationships and act as first point of contact whenleading reviews
• Stay on top of latest appliedempirical science methods and applications, as well as analysis andworkflow management technology
• Stay at theforefront of empirical social science behavioural insight, sharingknowledge wherepossible

Theskills you’ll need:

We’relooking for someone with extensive relevant technical and researchleadership experience. You’ll hold an academic degree in a socialscience discipline, with a strong quantitative analysis element, oryou’ll have a proven equivalent trackrecord.

You’ll also haveexperience in empirical social science design and execution,covering statistics, causal inference and data science. Knowledgeof large-scale business data handling such as databases and SQLwould be beneficial, as would an understanding of retail banking,financial markets and code development and quality assurancepractices such as Git, GitLab andGitHub.

In addition to this,we’re looking for:

• Enterprise levelcoding experience including object-oriented programming, ideallyusing Python
• Experience in drawing conclusionsfrom different primary and secondary datasources
• Clear, concise and compellingcommunication skills to inspire others, maintain momentum andensure work completion
• Experiencerole-modelling, supporting and supervising through coaching,feedback and development
• The entrepreneurialskills, resilience, drive and enthusiasm to develop your skill setand innovate
