My Client is a leading financial services company, looking to train and grow a Data Engineer taking them through their strong progression plan to follow any Data path you choose (Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer ect). You will support the development of their data function by working closely with the data team and wider business.

Responsibilities:

• Build mathematical models to gain deep insights and make business recommendations.
• Understand business problems and fully prototype data engineering solutions (backend database, model, and simple front end).
• Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches to guide future development and track the value created by the team.
• Communicate complex solutions in a clear, understandable way to non-experts.
• Write production code and liaise with other implementation teams to bring your models to life.
• Promote data engineering across the business

What you need to succeed:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Experience in a data engineering/data science role.
• Interest in and baseline knowledge of data processes and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, R (or similar) and SQL
• Must have experience with Azure.
