About the role At Texthelp, we are pioneering assistive technology innovation, continuously exploring new ways to leverage cutting-edge technologies. We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and talented Python Engineer to join our journey into the realm of Machine Learning Generative AI. In this role, you will support the development of our AI and ML applications and internal tools, contributing to our organisation's efforts to stay at the forefront of this ever-evolving field. As an AI/ML Engineer at Texthelp, you will play a crucial role in building impactful Machine Learning and Generative AI applications, developing a cutting-edge technology stack. With a foundation in writing robust Python code, you are expected to bring a keen interest in ML/AI and a strong desire to learn. You will join a supportive environment where mentorship from experienced leaders and collaboration with a dedicated team will enhance your skills in these exciting fields. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a variety of Generative AI models such as those from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. You'll engage in hands-on projects, building customer facing ML and AI focused applications as well as taking a longer term view training and fine-tuning new models with our proprietary data, and leveraging our in-house expertise in linguistics and accessibility. Main Responsibilities Work collaboratively within the AI Technology team to develop and build Generative AI solutions using a mixture of SaaS (OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) and Open Source solutions Write well-designed, efficient and testable code Work with development, QA and infrastructure teams to scale and monitor solutions Provide feedback through code and analysis reviews Develop and maintain documentation Support work across the full lifecycle of ML projects – from ideation and data collection to deployment and post-launch evaluation Quickly prototype solutions to test assumptions Keep up to date with emerging trends in machine learning and AI Support the wider business machine learning needs Participate in and evolve agile ways of working within a ML focused team Essential Criteria 2 years work experience in ML Engineering, Data Science or related role Experience working with Python for Machine Learning using tools such as pandas, numpy, sklearn, pytorch etc Proven track record of using Machine Learning to deliver a project in either a personal or commercial context Demonstrable interest in Machine Learning and Generative AI Desirable Criteria Experience working with SaaS LLMs such as OpenAI, and knowledge of common techniques in this space Experience with Huggingface transformer based models Experience with LLM frameworks such as LlamaIndex, LangChain or Haystack Experience training, deploying and monitoring ML models Track record of working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP working in an Agile development environment If you think you have what we are looking for please complete an application on our website by the closing date of Monday 8th September 2024 at 5pm.
