About the Team

At OpenAI, Trust & Safety Operations is central to protecting OpenAI’s platform, customers, and the public from abuse. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy and Go To Market teams to identify emerging risks, build and mature enforcement systems, and ensure high-integrity operations while delivering a great user experience at scale.

We’re building the Monetization Trust & Safety Operations team to ensure OpenAI can grow advertising in a way that is safe, trusted, and sustainable—for users, advertisers, and the business. This team sits at the intersection of operational scale, product risk, and rapid revenue growth, designing systems and operations that enable ads to scale without compromising user trust or safety. It’s critical to us that our Ads product be built in a way that corresponds to our Ads principles, and this team is key to that.

About the Role

We’re looking for a senior operator to help build and scale Monetization Trust & Safety Operations at OpenAI. In this role, you’ll own critical Ads T&S workstreams end-to-end, partnering closely with Product, Policy, Engineering, Legal, and Go To Market to design scalable enforcement processes, strengthen detection and tooling on novel risks, and ensure we’re ready to grow Ads and monetization safely while delivering a great experience for users and advertisers.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: you’ll define problems, design systems, and implement scalable, AI-first solutions from the ground up.

As OpenAI introduces new revenue-generating formats and partnerships, you’ll turn ambiguity into structured initiatives that balance user safety, advertiser experience, and business growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Own complex, high-impact Ads Trust & Safety problem areas from strategy through execution.

  • Design and scale operational workflows for Ads Trust & Safety, including enforcement models, review processes, escalation paths, and quality frameworks

  • Partner closely with Product, Policy, and Engineering to translate risk and policy requirements into scalable systems, tooling, and automation.

  • Improve the end-to-end enforcement and advertiser support funnel through frontline enablement, clearer escalation paths, and automation

  • Act as a key point of contact across internal teams and external partners, providing clear updates on risk, enforcement, and product feedback

  • Drive operational readiness for new Ads and monetization launches, features, and markets, identifying risks early and ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place.

  • Use data to identify trends, gaps, and emerging risks across Ads surfaces; develop proposals and solutions grounded in metrics and operational signals.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Ads Trust & Safety cross-functional strategy, including how safety scales with automation, classifiers, and self-service tooling.

  • Act as a senior XFN partner and subject-matter expert, influencing direction through strong judgment, clear communication, and credibility.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • 8+ years of experience in Monetization or Ads policy Operations, Trust & Safety, Business Integrity, Risk Operations, or a closely related domain.

  • Deep familiarity with ads ecosystems and advertiser risk

  • In-depth experience leveraging AI models or agent-based tooling in operational and support workflows

  • Proven ability to independently own ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and drive them to completion.

  • Strong operational judgment and systems thinking—able to design solutions that scale beyond manual review.

  • Experience working closely with Product, Policy, Engineering, Sales and Legal teams on enforcement systems, tooling, or automation.

  • Comfort using data and operational metrics to inform decisions, prioritize work, and measure impact.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex risk tradeoffs as well as policy to diverse audiences.

  • Can translate ambiguous risk signals into structured inputs for detection systems, including taxonomy design, labeling guidance, quality standards, and feedback loops

  • Strong judgment around quality, safeguards, and responsible deployment

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising AI jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.

AI Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Artificial intelligence is creating jobs faster than the market can name them. New roles are appearing every quarter, existing titles are splitting into specialisms, and the technologies underpinning it all are evolving at a pace that makes even last year's job descriptions feel dated. For job seekers, this presents a genuinely unusual challenge. In most industries, career planning means understanding a relatively stable landscape and working out where you fit within it. In AI, the landscape itself is being redrawn in real time. The roles with the most hiring activity in 2028 may not yet have a widely agreed job title in 2026. That's not a reason to feel overwhelmed — it's a reason to get informed. The candidates who thrive in this market aren't necessarily those with the longest CVs or the most credentials. They're the ones who understand the direction of travel: which skills are gaining value, which technologies are driving employer decisions, and how the definition of an "AI job" is expanding well beyond the tech sector. This article breaks down what the UK AI jobs market is likely to look like over the next three years — covering emerging job titles, the technologies reshaping hiring, the skills employers are prioritising, and how to position yourself ahead of the curve rather than behind it.

New AI Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Reshaping AI Careers

The artificial intelligence job market in the UK is evolving at an extraordinary pace. With record-breaking investment, government backing, and a surge in enterprise adoption, the landscape of AI employers is shifting rapidly. For candidates exploring opportunities on ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, understanding who is hiring next is just as important as understanding what skills are in demand. In this article, we explore the new and emerging AI employers to watch in 2026, focusing on organisations that have recently secured funding, won major contracts, or expanded their UK footprint. From cutting-edge startups to global giants doubling down on Britain, these companies represent the next wave of AI career opportunities.
