Join us as ourTransport Solutions Analyst, within our Sainsburys network based inDaventryand challenge the status quo, be inquisitive for opportunities and drive the ambition for optimisation within our network!


This is afull time, permanent position which offershybrid working reporting into Head of Strategy and Optimisation. You’ll be working alongside our team of CI, planning and solution professionals.

37.5 hours contracted per week (Monday to Friday and we can be flexible for start/finish times).

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to£50,000 per annum(dependent on level of experience), and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Design and develop efficient, scalable, and cost-effective transport solutions using data analysis, modelling tools, and scenario planning
  • Analyse operational and customer data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives, providing actionable recommendations
  • Support decision-making through feasibility studies, detailed reporting, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time
  • Build strong relationships across the business while contributing to continuous improvement and planning-led operational enhancements

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong expertise in transport modelling, network design, and data analysis, with advanced skills in planning tools (e.g. Paragon bonus!) and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interpret complex data, challenge existing practices, and develop practical, data-driven solutions that improve operational performance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging customers and stakeholders to influence decision-making
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects while delivering high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines(due to this role covering our network, there will be adhoc travel to sites across the network)
  • Strong understanding of transport and warehouse operations, cost optimisation, sustainability, and logistics, with an interest in digital, AI road mapping, and network optimisation solutions (CPC advantageous!)
