As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.

Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.

About the Role

We're seeking aSenior Product Finance Manager to serve as the finance business partner to our CTO organization (Product, Engineering, R&D). This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility to executive leadership and potential to build a team as we scale. This is a rare opportunity to build product finance infrastructure from the ground up and directly shape how we allocate capital across our evolving product suite. You’ll partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, R&D, GTM, and Operations to drive decision-making with clear unit economics, investment rigor, and pricing discipline. You thrive in ambiguity, bring structure to complex trade-offs, and can translate technical and financial drivers into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance partner to the CTO organization (Product, Engineering, R&D), embedded in planning, prioritization, and major investment decisions

  • Lead business cases and driver-based models for new product launches, major feature investments, and launch readiness, including revenue potential, COGS impact, and margin outcomes.

  • Support investment gate materials (scenarios, sensitivities, and risks) and make recommendations for leadership.

  • Define and operationalize KPIs for evaluating product performance: unit economics, SKU-level profitability, pricing sensitivity, and contribution margins across our evolving product portfolio

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to understand and forecast key cost drivers (compute, infrastructure, vendor costs) and translate them into financial planning assumptions

  • Lead annual planning and forecast cadence for the CTO org: budget, headcount, prioritization, and productivity assumptions.

  • Partner with Product and GTM on pricing/packaging for new and existing offerings, ensuring value delivery aligns with value capture and cost structure

  • Collaborate with Analytics and DevOps to define KPIs and ensure adoption of reliable reporting (clear definitions, single source of truth, decision-ready dashboards).

  • Support the CFO and executive leadership on strategic initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, or management consulting (MBB)

  • Proven experience supporting technical organizations and influencing executive decisions in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong driver-based modeling skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate trade-offs clearly

  • Advanced Excel/Sheets and comfort with BI tools (Looker, Omni, Tableau, etc.); SQL is a strong plus

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with senior technical and GTM stakeholders, as well as non-finance audiences

  • Track record of operating in fast-paced, high-growth, VC-backed environments

Strongly Preferred

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and variable cost structures

  • Prior exposure to multi-product portfolio management and product-led growth motions

  • Experience scaling finance processes through periods of rapid organizational growth

  • Product intuition and curiosity – you ask "why" and understand what drives product decisions

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising AI jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.

How Many AI Tools Do You Need to Know to Get an AI Job?

If you are job hunting in AI right now it can feel like you are drowning in tools. Every week there is a new framework, a new “must-learn” platform or a new productivity app that everyone on LinkedIn seems to be using. The result is predictable: job seekers panic-learn a long list of tools without actually getting better at delivering outcomes. Here is the truth most hiring managers will quietly agree with. They do not hire you because you know 27 tools. They hire you because you can solve a problem, communicate trade-offs, ship something reliable and improve it with feedback. Tools matter, but only in service of outcomes. So how many AI tools do you actually need to know? For most AI job seekers: fewer than you think. You need a tight core toolkit plus a role-specific layer. Everything else is optional. This guide breaks it down clearly, gives you a simple framework to choose what to learn and shows you how to present your toolset on your CV, portfolio and interviews.
