Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Databricks)

We’re working with a leading technology consultancy to find an experienced Senior ML Engineer to join their growing advanced data team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of data, AI, and cloud, delivering impactful projects across multiple industries.

Location: London (Hybrid: 2–3 days per week on-site with clients or at HQ)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: From £70,000 + bonus (negotiable depending on experience)

As a Senior ML Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality client projects, often in collaboration with Databricks' professional services team. You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior colleagues, driving MLOps best practices, and ensuring robust, production ready ML solutions.

You’ll also contribute to the consultancy’s growth, supporting capability development, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership within the Databricks ecosystem.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in Machine Learning / Data Science, with production-grade model deployment.

  • Strong Databricks expertise (certification desirable).

  • Advanced Python and SQL skills.

  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

  • Leadership/mentoring experience.
