The role is for an experienced data scientist who is recognized both internally and by customers as a subject matter expert – with a track record of applying data science and machine learning to deliver measurable benefit for our customers’ missions – and go-to person in at least one area of data science and machine learning, demonstrating clear technical leadership and the ability to influence.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute complex data science requirements across a portfolio of projects, including identification of risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.

  • Provide technical leadership for multiple teams of data scientists, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to quality.

  • Act as a formal customer point of contact and maintain strong, influential relationships with key senior stakeholders.

  • Broker new relationships within the customer organisation, providing added value through deduplication of effort and access to unique expertise.

  • Contribute subject matter expertise into bids, proposals and studies, ensuring proposals meet customer needs.

  • Experience in geographical information systems and predictive analysis is a bonus.

You must already hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance.
