Avanti is working with an exciting early-stage 5-person FinTech startup based in London that is about to launch its first product in the embedded finance space.

Their platform helps businesses unlock working capital through intelligent, AI-driven invoice financing solutions, integrated directly into existing financial workflows.

With their launch just around the corner, they are now looking for a Mid-Level FullStack Developer to join their growing team.

THE ROLE

This is not a typical developer role. You’ll be working across both technology and business operations, giving you a unique opportunity to understand how a fintech company is built from the ground up. Around 70-80% of your time will be focused on development, with the other 20-30% focused on working closely with the COO to understand the operational side of the business.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining fullstack applications
  • Developing APIs and working with databases
  • Contributing to frontend and backend development
  • Supporting AI-driven features and data workflows
  • Debugging, testing, and improving system performance
  • Working closely with the business to help automate operational processes

TECH STACK

  • .NET (backend)
  • React (frontend)
  • MySQL
  • AWS
  • Python (AI and data models)

Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong .NET experience
  • Some front-end (React ideally) – however Angular/Vue is fine
  • Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals
  • Interested in working in a startup / Have startup experience
  • AWS exposure (similar cloud is fine)
  • Interested in AI

Desirable:

  • Previously worked in a start-up
  • Python experience (Data / AI)

Why Join?

  • Join a startup at launch stage
  • Work on AI-driven fintech products
  • Gain exposure beyond coding into real business operations
  • Fast-track your development with hands-on experience
  • High visibility and real impact from day one

Salary is up to £50,000 and you will be required on-site 4 days per week in Central London.

What Is an AI Forward Deployed Engineer? The Fastest-Growing Job in AI for 2026

If you have been watching AI job boards over the past year, one title keeps surfacing again and again: the forward deployed engineer, or FDE. It has gone from a niche term known mainly to Palantir alumni to arguably the hottest role in the entire AI hiring market. Job postings for forward deployed engineers have exploded, salaries have climbed past levels most software engineers will ever see, and the biggest names in AI — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Salesforce, Databricks and Palantir — are all competing for the same small pool of talent. So what exactly is an AI forward deployed engineer, why has demand surged so dramatically, and how do you position yourself to land one of these roles? This guide breaks it all down for AI engineers, software engineers and data scientists looking at their next move.
