This Finance Data Analyst role supports the CFO by delivering financial reporting, data analysis, dashboards, and AI-driven insights that help inform business decisions and improve performance. It combines finance, business intelligence, and emerging technologies such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

An organisation operating in the infrastructure sector, located in London.

Description

  • Utilise AI, LLMs, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric to analyse data, automate reporting, and deliver insights from operational and financial datasets.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and KPI reporting, tracking metrics such as revenue per charger, utilisation, site performance, uptime, and operational efficiency.
  • Support finance operations through day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close activities, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial data management across Xero, Dext, Sitetracker, and WorkflowMax.
  • Produce management accounts, financial reports, board-ready commentary, and performance analysis by combining financial and operational data to support decision-making.
  • Partner with data engineering teams, vendors, suppliers, and senior leadership to ensure data quality, manage financial workflows, resolve issues, and respond to ad-hoc business requests.

Profile

  • A studying accountant, ideally AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and translate it into clear business insights.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualisation tools, with experience creating dashboards and management reporting.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve reporting and decision-making processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to senior leadership.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, capable of working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business environment.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £35k - £40k dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent position in London.
