Hayward Hawk is pleased to be partnering with a global professional services organisation to appoint a Data Scientist into their expanding Innovation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive business making significant investment in data science, advanced analytics, and AI to enhance service delivery. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing scalable data solutions, applying advanced modelling techniques, and embedding generative AI capabilities across the organisation. The Opportunity This position sits within a dedicated innovation function focused on building bespoke, data-driven solutions to improve efficiency and generate strategic insight. You will operate across the full data lifecycle, from data extraction and transformation through to advanced analytics, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement. The role offers strong exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence key decisions through the application of data and AI. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, APIs, and both structured and unstructured data sources Build predictive and prescriptive models, including forecasting, regression, and clustering Design and deploy NLP-based solutions to derive insights from unstructured data Develop and implement generative AI use cases, including RAG, fine-tuning, and entity extraction Create dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to communicate insights clearly Present findings to senior stakeholders and client-facing teams Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are maintained Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and operations Support the ongoing development of AI and innovation initiatives About You An experienced (minimum 4 years experience) Data Scientist or Machine Learning professional with a proven ability to deliver data-led solutions Strong programming capability in Python, R, or similar, with experience handling diverse data sources Demonstrated experience in building predictive models and generating actionable insights Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and translating them into meaningful outputs Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar Naturally curious and adaptable, with an interest in applying AI, machine learning, and NLP to real-world challenges Why Apply?
