The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-4:30

Asanintegralmemberofthemulti-disciplinary teamthepost-holderwillworkinpartnership with GP Practicesdemonstratingcompassionate caringbehaviourstofulfilthekeyfunctionsoftheCMHT.Knowledge and practice experience of Psychological interventions to manage a range of low level mental health conditions is central to the role– e.g. CBT, SPIRIT, Anxiety Management, Mentalization therapies.

Inparticularthepost-holderwillberesponsiblefor:

  • theassessment
  • formulation
  • implementationandevaluationofcomplexprogrammesofcareusingastrengthbasedrecoveryfocusedapproachtocarethat proactivelyinvolvesthepersonandoptimisesself-management.

Thepostholder isrequiredtoundertakedutieswithoutdirectsupervision.Thepost-holderisresponsibleforproactivelypromotingpartnershipworkingwithpatients,carersandotherprofessionals/agenciesinlinewithlegislative frameworks,agreedstandardsandclinicalpolicies.Thisinvolvesworkingina varietyofcommunityenvironments and within GP Practices.To promote the well-being of people and facilitate their access to mental health services where this is appropriate, by providing assessment and direct Patient support within GP practices in the locality, Ensuring access to the wider network of self-help, third sector organisations, Community Link Worker, Primary Care Mental Health Services, Community Addictions Services, CMHT and any other relevant services Participatinginregularcaseloadlinemanagement supervisionandProfessional Supervision is vital.At times supervisingthepracticeofothers will be required, monitoringundertakingmentorshipresponsibilitiesandsupportingtheCMHTLeaderintheongoinglearninganddevelopmentofthestaffteamandtheCMHTkey functionsareimportantaspectsofthisrole. To provide support and guidance to GP and other healthcare staff within this role assisting in them to manage their patients mental health and well being.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
