VP of Product – 100% remote within the UK – up to £120,000 plus fantastic benefits – SaaS - Energy Data& Analytics – Profitable start-up

About Us:

A profitable data analytics SaaS start-up within the energy sector is on a mission to revolutionize the way organizations manage, optimize, and understand their data. Leveraging cutting-edge analytics, machine learning, and data visualization, their platform empowers users to make smarter, data-driven decisions that drive business decisions and get rid of thousands of spreadsheets! AVP of Productis needed to lead the product strategy, execution, and written product maps/communications to a VC board.


Role Overview:

TheVP of Productwill be responsible for driving the strategic direction, be hands-on with best-practice product roadmaping, and development of the product portfolio. As a senior leader, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to deliver innovative solutions that delight our customers and align with business goals. This is a high-impact role requiring a balance of visionary thinking, user-centricity, and execution excellence in a fast-paced, startup environment. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Product Leadership
  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company objectives. Its key you’re both strategic and able to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on
  • Identify new market opportunities, trends, and customer needs to guide product development priorities.
  • Establish metrics for product success and consistently analyse product performance to guide data drivendecision-making.
  1. Customer-Centric Innovation
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback.
  • Translate customer pain points into innovative product features and scalable solutions.
  • Advocate for user experience and usability across all product initiatives.
  1. Execution and Delivery
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and marketing to deliver high-quality, scalable software on time.
  • Prioritize initiatives using data-driven insights and customer impact analyses.
  • Oversee product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring seamless execution at every stage.
  • Have excellent written communication on product vision and be able to present this with vigour
  1. Team Leadership and Development
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a collaborative culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a thought leader and mentor to team members, promoting professional growth.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
  • Work with customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate product vision and progress to executive leadership, investors, and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience:10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Experience in SaaS, analytics, or energy-related industries is a strong plus.
  • Strategic Mindset:Ability to think strategically while being hands-on when needed.
  • Customer-Centric Approach:Deep passion for understanding customer needs and solving complex problems.
  • Technical Acumen:Strong understanding of software development processes, data analytics, and SaaS platforms.
  • Leadership Skills:Demonstrated success building, leading, and scaling product teams in a startup or high-growth environment. We want good people who can disrupt, in the right way.
  • Analytical Rigor:Comfort with data-driven decision-making and KPIs to measure product success.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inspire and align teams.
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
