We are seeking a Valuation & Due Diligence Analyst to join the team, with a focus on catalogue valuation and transaction due diligence. Key clients include financial investors, copyright holders such as record companies, publishers, writers, and composers.

An opportunity to join a fast-growing, highly specialised team, working closely with industry experts to develop skills and expertise in an exciting part of the business.

Given the catalogue boom over the past few years, and recent increased public interest and scrutiny around investment in the asset class, quality valuations and insightful, robust due diligence have become sought-after services. Our clients are relying on us more and more to go further in our analysis and apply expanding depth of review.

You will learn about the flow of royalties, pitfalls of data, facets of different rights types, how to read publishing/record deals and everything needed to assist clients throughout the deal process and beyond.

Your role will be heavily based around interpretation of data using analytical tools, and you will learn best-practice methods for valuation in relation to music deals. You will have daily exposure to the senior management team – reporting directly to the head of the department – and key client relationships. You will support senior members of the team, putting together initial analyses and carrying out structured tasks.

Working closely with experts in the field will help to boost your personal development and enable you to contribute to the growth of an expanding, dynamic team.



Experience & qualifications you may have

  • Foundational understanding of royalties and previous experience of handling royalty data
  • Ability to interpret music agreements
  • Deal related work (DD, investment team, valuation, underwriting etc)
  • Experience working at music industry accounting/services firm or similar. Direct music industry experience preferred but not required
  • Accounting/finance qualification beneficial but not required


Your skills

  • Proficient Excel skills, ability to utlise models and build functionality
  • Experience using SQL queries and handling databases
  • Proficient analytically, with experience of using BI tools preferred
  • Understanding of royalty statements and able to interrogate and present findings
  • High-level understanding of basic accounting concepts and company financials.
  • Adaptable to varying workload and types of project
  • Motivated, keen to learn and integrates well with the team
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Can be relied on to take ownership of workload and able to find solutions independently
  • Strong communication, ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients in correspondence
  • Confident presentation skills and able to autonomously put together presentation slides for meetings
