UX Graduate Programme 2025:

  • Start Date: 9th September 2025
  • Closing date for applications:Assessment Centre:Rolling. Apply now to be considered for an assessment centre in April 2025
  • Duration of Programme: 2 years
  • Contract Type:Fixed-term, full-time
  • Educational Requirements:BA, Masters or equivalent in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction Design, Visual Design, Psychology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Product Design, Digital Media or similar. You'll also need to demonstrate a passion for a career in UX.
  • Location:Hatfield/London. We follow a hybrid working model, combining remote work with office presence based on the placement and business requirements. A minimum of two days per week in the office is expected.

Ocado Technology is putting the world's retailers online. We develop innovative software and systems that power Ocado.com, the world's largest online-only grocery retailer as well as the global 'Ocado Smart Platform'. With everything from websites and apps to fully autonomous warehouses that we design in-house, our employees need to be specialists in a wide range of technologies to help drive our business - we're looking for the next generation of UX specialists and future pioneers.

Over four six-month placements, you'll work in UX teams across Ocado Technology, gaining knowledge and insight into UX Research and UX Design.

Here are some examples of the placements you could be working in on the scheme:

  • Ecommerce:Putting yourself in the shoes of online grocery shoppers to help design the future of online grocery. Working on native mobile and tablet apps as well as web responsive interfaces.
  • Logistics / Supply Chain:Planning the journey of perishable goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption and everything in between is a critical part of running the end-to-end operation. The teams provides our retailers with innovative logistic planning and stock management tools that run the logistics and supply chain operations of the platform.
  • Fulfilment:Help design the systems being used to ship thousands of grocery items every day. The team build interfaces for a variety of devices and use cases, focusing on the relation between physical tasks and digital interfaces.

What we look for

We need analytical, tenacious and inquisitive people who can create positive outcomes in a challenging, fast-paced environment and who are looking to join a truly innovative, fast-growing business. You have or are expecting a degree, BSc, BA, Masters or equivalent in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction Design, Visual Design, Psychology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Product Design, Digital Media or similar. You'll also need to demonstrate a passion for a career in UX.
