ABOUT YOUR ROLEDescartes Underwriting is seeking an
Underwriting Assistant
to join our Underwriting Team. Your main goal is to support the London Underwriting team by dealing with all Underwriting administration and office management related tasks.You will report directly to the London Underwriting Manager.
Your responsibilities would include :
Underwriting & Technical administration and supportManage the pipeline of requests of cover on Salesforce and GitLab and keep the deals data in order and up to date;Contribute to the collection of portfolio data for internal reporting;Prepare the dashboards and presentations using Salesforce and GitLab deals data;Follow up the Underwriting Checklist with Underwriting team when deals are bound;Support the logistic organization of internal and external meetings, presentations and market events;Maintain and monitor renewal lists as well as information on our coordination and interactions with brokers.
Office managementEnsure the smooth running and management of the offices:⮚ Receive and sort incoming correspondences;⮚ Prepare and send correspondences and mail;⮚ Check the supply of consumables and office supplies;⮚ Support on IT equipment coordinating with the IT division (e.g. Dell assistance appointments; delivery of equipment).

ABOUT YOU
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSGraduated from an High School at minimum (A levels);Graduated from an University is a plus;From 0 to 2 years’ experience (internships or/and apprenticeships included);Experience in the Insurance sector is a plus;Notions in dealing with Salesforce and GitLab data is a plus.
SKILLSEye for quality, autonomous and attention to detail;Excellent organizational skills;Fluency in English is required (written and spoken);French or Italian is a plus.
