About the role

You will be involved in all aspects of underwriting Tech E&O across Canada.You will develop and underwrite profitable business, working closely with the Team Leader and your underwriting colleagues in a variety of areas, including new business development, complex renewal underwriting, building broker relationships and responding to tech queries from other product line underwriters. Responsibilities will include: Responding to new business enquiries and renewal submissions from brokers in a timely and professional manner, delivering a first class service to produce quotations within agreed SLAs and authority parameters; Preparing and delivering internal and external presentations on CFC products, key trends and emerging exposures; Contributing effectively to team performance standards; Marketing team capabilities through existing contacts and new relationships including attending ad-hoc business trips internationally as required. Building wider product understanding in Quebec and supporting other teams with their distribution in the province.  Keeping up to date with the changing legislation in Quebec and reporting this back to the team.

About you

The ideal candidate will have business fluency in French and at least 2-3 years of experience within the insurance industry preferably with exposure to underwriting E&O or Financial Lines. Given our key territory is Canada, experience working within this market is highly desirable. We are looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic who can contribute to a fast-paced working environment and work within a high performance team. You will need to be sales and service focussed, confident and personable on the phone and in front of our customers and be able to demonstrate a hunger and aptitude to support growth within the team. You will be analytical with strong attention to detail but also able to reach conclusions quickly and make effective decisions. You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
