Job Title: UK Artificial Intelligence Regulatory Lead
Reports to: Head of AI Notified Body
Location: UK only(Remote role, home based role with some travelling requirements (c.25%) to meetings /conferences /etc.)

We are seeking aUKAIRegulatory Leadwith primary responsibilities to support strategic decision making of our AI Business Unit by:
providing guidance and feedback on the progress of the UK AI legislative framework, and potential opportunities its provides. representing BSI in relevant Artificial Intelligence (AI ) forums, events and working groups.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and provide feedback on UK AI legislation, UK guidance and organisation, supporting decision making for the AI Business Unit. Support BSI's engagement with UK forums, institutes, organisations and universities in the AI arena. Ensure UK regulatory requirements are appropriately laid down in Quality Management Systems (policies, procedures, forms, guidance notes, work instructions.) Support Global Quality and Accreditation in maintenance of accreditation. Conduct regulatory and quality review of conformity assessment activity output, certification decision making. Document development and approval.
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
BSc degree or higher in a discipline relevant to AI, engineering, law, quality assurance or equivalent qualification. Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in one of the following areas: conformity assessment, quality management, UK policy/regulation, standardization development. Strong awareness of AI regulations and released standards/guidance. A comprehensive understanding of quality systems, philosophies and principles and internal auditing principles and practices. An understanding of BSI's role and our approach to conformity assessment activities and certification for UKCA marking.
