Remote (UK-based) | Travel to client sites 2x/month (expenses paid)

We’re hiring a hands-on AI Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning solutions that directly address the unique challenges our clients face. You’ll work closely with the Director of AI to build scalable AI products and systems that transform data into actionable insights, drive business growth, and support better decision-making.

You’ll be part of a paired delivery model – working alongside a business strategist to deliver real-world AI solutions that go beyond experimentation.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain AI-driven solutions using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-based techniques
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver production-ready, secure AI applications
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deploying across AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Rapidly prototype tools using Streamlit, LangChain, CrewAI, and dev tools like Cursor
  • Integrate third-party AI model APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) and work with vector databases
  • Translate business problems into scalable data pipelines and deployable AI systems
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle from idea to implementation

What We’re Looking For:

  • A builder mindset with strong technical ownership and initiative
  • Confidence in client-facing conversations, demos, and presentations
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, motivated by solving complex problems in novel ways
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, startup-style environment

Technical Experience Required:

  • 2+ years in an AI Engineer or similar role, ideally in consulting or client-facing delivery
  • Strong Python skills (including SQL, data pipelines, and structured code for production)
  • Experience building and applying LLM-powered solutions (e.g. RAG, agentic frameworks)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience using Streamlit, vector databases, and integrating with model APIs

10 AI Recruitment Agencies in the UK You Should Know (2025 Job‑Seeker Guide)

Generative‑AI hype has translated into real hiring: Lightcast recorded +57 % year‑on‑year growth in UK adverts mentioning “machine learning”, “LLM” or “gen‑AI” during Q1 2025. Yet supply still lags. Roughly 18,000 core AI professionals work in the UK, but monthly live vacancies hover around 1,400–1,600. That mismatch makes specialist recruiters invaluable—opening stealth vacancies, advising on salary bands and fast‑tracking interview loops. But many tech agencies sprinkle “AI” on their website without an active desk. To save you time, we vetted 50 + consultancies and kept only those with: A registered UK head office (verified via Companies House). A named AI/Machine‑Learning or Data practice.
