I’ve just been released an awesome opportunity with one of the top quantitative trading firms globally renowned for incorporating complex data science and cloud computing tools and approaches to their investment strategies.

They currently operate at scale, executing millions of trades a day, running complex simulations based on state-of-art, custom, and nimble software designed by the inquisitive technology teams, and anticipating new market trends.

The Role:

They’re currently on the search to hire a ‘Trading Application Support Specialist’ to join a pragmatic and inquisitive team of top industry professionals, supporting the full trade life cycle of the cross-asset electronic trading platforms, within a fast-paced environment. Additional responsibilities include:

• Application Support: Provide first-line and second-line support for trading applications, ensuring systems are optimized and running smoothly.
• Incident Management: Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure trading continuity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, trading, and infrastructure teams to support complex trading strategies.
• Performance Monitoring: Track application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• System Upgrades: Assist in rolling out new application features and system updates with minimal disruption to trading activities.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions.

Requirements/Qualifications Needed:

• 2 – 4 Years of experience working within a finance institution.
• Technical Skills in Linux is a must.
• Good understanding of scripting languages is a plus (Ideally Python, Bash).
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with traders, developers, and IT teams.
