As a key member of our innovation team within the central product group, you will be instrumental in developing tools, products, and best practices to improve the developer experience in terms of productivity and ease of use. Your role will involve close collaboration with developers to enhance platform DevEx, performance, reliability, and scalability.

We’ve been working to build the foundations of our Generative AI platform, you’ll be joining as a key part of the journey, enabling & accelerating the creation of generative AI products within Moody's.

This team is responsible for MLOps & LLMOps, developing, deploying, testing & maintaining production grade access to LLMs, fine-tuning, shared agents and services, working closely with our ML engineers, data scientists, engineers and product teams. 

You'll be enhancing our platform's DevEx, performance, reliability, and scalability, using a wide range of SDLC tools. 

We're all about building highly scalable, efficient, and reliable systems that enable generative AI to be deployed and served in production environments. 

Responsibilities:

Develop clean, functional code with a polyglot engineering mindset. Proficiency in multiple languages Python is required, and ability to pick up Go, Typescript.

Experience providing a smooth local development environment for Kubernetes deployed services running docker locally for multiple services.

Coordinate with development teams facilitating experimentation along with functional testing of applications, setting up & implementing test frameworks for unit, integration & contract tests.

Lead the adoption of cloud-native environments including Kubernetes. Managing the complete development lifecycle of applications from design to rollout.

Evolve and maintain CI/CD processes for streamlined development and deployment.

Creative and inquisitive mindset, with skills in independent research and in creating POCs (proof of concept)

Deliver self-serve Observability & service management to engineering teams.

Collaborate in an environment where everyone's ideas are valued.

Troubleshooting skills are crucial along with active participation in team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements or recommending process improvements.

The ability to work collaboratively with team members ensuring successful task delivery is a necessity and assisting in coordinating the activities of less experienced team members.

Create comprehensive documentation and conduct training sessions to support our tools and processes adoption and usage.

Continuously research the Platform Engineering and DevEx landscapes, keeping track of trends in in developer-platform processes and tooling, and conducting quick experiments and POCs to evaluate their potential and effect on developer productivity and happiness.

Contribute to product direction discussions and help shape the product roadmap.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in software development, preferably Python.

Solid understanding and experience working with pipeline automation and CI/CD systems

Experience & interest in GenAI frameworks LangChain, Llama Index, LangSmith 

Knowledge of Data Pipelines / AI SDLC (MLOps) 

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with Cloud Providers Azure, AWS or GCP

Experience with IAC preferably Terraform

Understanding of GitOps concepts, (e.g. ArgoCD) 

Effective communication and interpersonal skills:

Be able to discuss and defend opinions when designing a solution or approach

Be able to support developers in using DevEx offerings

Supporting users on Mac/Linux/Windows Platforms

Observability stacks (e.g. Grafana, Sentry)

BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivation to succeed and grow.
