The shift pattern is Mon to Sun include weekends, nights, on call. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
Due to an expansion of our OMFS oncological services we are looking to recruit experienced Band 5 Registered Nurse/ODP theatre practitioners for 1 year fixed term contract. We have scrub and anaesthetic posts available, with full time and part time options. We can offer you a varied surgical caseload due to our extensive Neurosurgical, Oral Maxillofacial, and Neuro-interventional radiology procedures that will help you develop your capabilities and experience and you'll enjoy the real respect, rapport and effective working of a close-knit, highly skilled, multidisciplinary team.
As part of the multidisciplinary team and without supervision, the post holder will have the responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients during the perioperative phase.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
