Vickerstock are partnering with our FMCG client - renowned for their commitment to authenticity and excellence on the appointment of Specification and Supplier Approval Technologist to join the team based in Newtownards. Reporting to the Technical Manager the successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact between internal Technical and external Customer, Suppliers and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on all aspects of product specifications. This role is responsible for leading the Food Safety & Quality team in delivering Site technical compliance for all relevant Customer and Supplier approvals and specifications whilst ensuring Site compliance with relevant BRC, and Customer FSQM systems. What's in it for you? Salary £30-32k per annum depending on experience Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8.30am - 3pm Company events Company Pension Discounted or free food On site parking A full job description will be available upon application. What you will need to succeed: Third Level qualification in a Food related discipline, or related field. Experience in a Specification and Supplier Approval Technologist role or similar position within the food manufacturing industry. Demonstrated knowledge of food composition, basic nutrition and allergen management. Excellent communication and leadership skills appropriate to role. Experience in Customer's Specification Management systems Strong organisational and time-management skills A broad knowledge of Food Safety and Quality standards (HACCP, VACCP, BRC, Customer, legal and Other third-party standards such as ISO 14001, RSPO etc.) Ability to work effectively to deliver challenging team and departmental targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Criteria (it would be great if you have these but don't worry if you don't) Level 3 HACCP certification / Level 3 in Food Safety Certification Lean Tool kit, Dashboards Etc. Strong IT Skills. Proficient in MS Office.
