This is a permanent, fulltime post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 over 7.
Applicants must have a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration, and Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the adult acute dietetic oncology team for a Band 6 specialist dietitian to develop practice and provide a clinical service to theNational Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant/Haemato-oncology service, Head and Neck cancer service and Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The 1 WTE post is based between the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.
You should be able to evidence experience providing complex nutrition support within oncology specialties. In addition you will require to demonstrate skills to provide evidence based practice in this highly specialist area of practice.
Clinical support and training will be provided from the onset in this post given the nature of this complex area.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
