Base Location:London, Birmingham and Manchester. Plus network of 20 offices nationally:

KPMG UK's Infrastructure Advisory Group (IAG) is a team of roughly 400 professionals and is widely recognised as one of the world's leading independent financial and commercial advisers in the infrastructure sector. IAG has locations in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester, but is operated on a national basis.

You'll be joining our team that support the NHS and other public sector organisations in optimising its cost base through finding productivity and efficiency opportunities at an entity and system level.

You will sit in our Customer, Operations and Infrastructure team, with a focus on Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) clients. This team provides in-depth advice on the strategic, financial, regulatory, operational, customer and commercial issues driving investments and operational decision making across the public sector. This ranges from providing strategic advice to financing investments, to optimising cost in existing structures and organisations, to working with the public sector to develop the business cases and delivery plans to get change approved within government.

What will you be doing?

As a Manager in our growing healthcare practice, you will be central to the development of strategy as well as delivery ofcost and value optimisation and financial sustainability programmes.

Projects regularly involve working within a wider a multidisciplinary team across KPMG with technical, business, data science, business management, finance or IT skills. Successful candidates will therefore work collaboratively with KPMG colleagues and clients to:

Rapidly diagnose the financial issues faced by the client through analysis and stakeholder engagement Provide insight based on detailed analysis and working with our network to identify international best practice Identify and develop initiatives to support rapid cost and value optimisation for the client Support detailed planning and implementation of these initiatives Project manage the delivery of client engagements Build strong client relationships Manage input from internal teams and external advisers Produce high quality documentation and presentations Support business development including network building as well as support with development of proposals, pitch presentations and thought leadership Develop sector specific market intelligence


What will you need to do it?

You will be a talented and ambitious manager with previous experience of cost, efficiency and value optimisation work in the NHS or private healthcare.

You will be expected to demonstrate many of the following characteristics, although as a training organisation we are interested in hearing from a broad pool of applicants and helping them develop in the next stage of their career.

Essential Skills:
Ability to manage KPMG project teams delivering client engagementsRobust knowledge of the NHS and plans for its future and a desire to support practice development to respond to that policy agendaHave strong report writing experienceExperience with or interest in benefits quantification and financial analysisAbility to present to senior management and executive teams within the NHSFinancial and operational baselining experienceWith support of KPMG leadership, the ability to identify risk and manage commercial and client delivery risks in a high-pressure environment.Project Management skills including planning and prioritise work within deadlines for major change programmes.
