An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within Surgical Services for an experienced and dynamic individual to work within this fast paced assessment area providing clinical leadership and surgical expertise within our ward.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude who are focussed and flexible and have initiated change.

Applicants should be self-motivated, dynamic and forward thinking and be able to lead and develop the nursing team. They will have a track record of implementing change and be a highly skilled communicator with the ability to use effective verbal, written and IT skills to ensure patients receive timely, evidence based care and a positive patient experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible to the Senior Sister and work alongside the medical, nursing and support staff utilising their skills and knowledge in co-ordinating the busy flow of patients through SAC. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills and caring for patients in an acute hospital environment.

Registered Nurse with NMC To have completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998. Evidence of academic achievement or working towards degree level of study
