Job Title:Senior Tender Manager - Survey 

Reporting To:Business Unit Director (MSC)

Location: Aberdeen, 3+ Days per week in the office. 

Salary: Up to £80,000 Depending on skills and experience 

The Senior Tender Manager role reports to the Business Unit Director (MSC) and leads the development of proposals for the supply of the full range of Beam’s service lines, often including integrated services and technology lead solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring that all tender submissions align with Beam's commercial guidelines and strategic objectives, contributing significantly to the company's growth and market presence.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end tendering process, managing the work load of the MSC tender team, supporting business development and sales teams in identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with executive leadership to define and achieve key performance targets. The Senior Tender Manager also plays a vital role in proposal development, conducting in-depth analysis of client requirements, cost calculations, and risk assessments. This role serves as a critical link between Beam and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and partners, to ensure effective collaboration during the tendering process.

The Senior Tendering Manager must be a team leader, comfortable challenging others, have great relationship building skills, be a confident customer negotiator and have an unwavering drive to succeed.

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in tender management, or a related role within the maritime, renewables or offshore industry.
  • Demonstrable understanding of commercial risk
  • Understanding of the operational requirements for marine geophysical solutions, e.g. understanding of Site Characterisation, UXO MTL creation, Cable Route surveys, preferred
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of developing & leading high-performing teams
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality in tendering deliverables
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards
  • Proficiency in proposal development and submission
  • Operational experience preferred but not essential
