There are two permanent, part-time positions of 34.04 hours per week, with a rotation both days and night shift.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic nurse (Band 6) to join our team in the Medical Assessment Unit/Out of Hours Service at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
The post holder will support both the Medical Assessment Unit and the GP Out of Hours Service.
Medical Assessment Unit is a 9 bedded bay area, receiving patients via GP and Scottish Ambulance referral with acute medical presentations. Out of Hours GP service works alongside the Medical Assessment Unit in the out of Hours period.
The candidate requires experience in the emergency care setting with skills in early recognition and treatment of the unwell patient. Support and ongoing training in all aspects of the role including mentorship will be available.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen interest in education and developing the unscheduled care role are required.
The unit is dedicated to staff development and ongoing training opportunities are available. Immediate Life support certificate is essential.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
