About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee 2-3 residential projects at various stages of development. The successful candidate will manage these projects from the pre-construction phase through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This role offers a blend of office-based work, on-site presence as required, and the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of multiple residential projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee cost planning and budgeting during the pre-construction phase.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and industry regulations.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to work on site around Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Bristol
