Senior Python Developer

Capula Investment Management LLP is a global investment manager focused on innovative strategies that aim to exhibit low or negative correlation to traditional equity and fixed income markets. Headquartered in London, the firm manages absolute return, enhanced fixed income, macro and crisis alpha strategies.

Initial duties and responsibilities:

• Capula's trade flow stack is built in python and handles all booking as well as internal and external trade flow. The successful applicant's main responsibility is to maintain and enhance the stack.
• The applicant will drive modernization of the trade flow stack. This includes refactoring to enable best practice python packaging to enable improved test automation and release process.
• Work towards a solid understanding of Front Arena, which is the main cross asset position keeping system within Capula as well as our books and records. It is used by back, middle and front office and can be modified and extended using Python. You will be interfacing closely with this app.
• A good proactive communicator who is able to work with all business to gather and clarify requirements.
• Works well in a team, whilst being a self starter.  Looks for opportunities to collaborate across all areas of the business.

Requirements

• Strong python with a focus on application building (as opposed to data science).
• Successful candidates must have recent experience working with a trading system.
• Successful candidate must be well versed in using python.
• Experience working with Front Arena is a plus.
