Enabling the strategic changes, GSK Tech is undergoing a fundamental transformation building new and advanced capabilities in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Generative AI, Data & Analytics, Software Engineering and Product Management.

As part of this new organization, the Medical Cx and Data Team is responsible for Product Management encompassing Medical Cx and measurement, medical analytics and content platforms. The Senior Product Owner will be part of the organisation of the new Senior Director, Medical Cx and Data and will be responsible for reviewing and managing the product backlog, estimating value and prioritizing delivery for the products in their domain, ensuring agile ways of working are followed.

The Senior Product Owner is a key role within GSK supporting our ambitions to accelerate the end-to-end content lifecycle. The Senior Product Owner will work with the business to develop roadmaps for their product domain while partnering with our Data Science, AI/ML Engineering and other product engineering teams to deliver on the agreed priorities. In scope are the products that ensure compliant content at scale for commercial and emerging new products that promise to transform how we use Generative AI to create content and approve content across the enterprise.

The Senior Product Owner should have a background in pharmaceutical content governance, compliance and regulatory processes supporting content creation and approvals. Additionally, they understand how AI/ML/GenAI can be used to streamline and accelerate content approval and GenAI to create new and derivative content.

They will work collaboratively with stakeholders to agree on priorities within their domains and build plans to deliver against those priorities. Over time they should become the go-to leader and trusted advisor, working collaboratively and adaptively to constantly meet the needs of the stakeholders and deliver value to GSK.

As the Senior Product Owner – Commercial Content Platforms you will be responsible for…

The Commercial Content product team works across all Therapy areas and regions to ensure that commercial content systems and processes are efficient, compliant and continuously evolving to align with GSK strategic priorities. As Senior Product Owner, Commercial Content Platforms you will play an important role in developing the Commercial Content systems roadmap to support Global Product Strategy (GPS) teams and Local Operating Companies (LOCs) to accelerate their omnichannel strategy by driving efficiency and innovation in content management.

You will work closely with a variety of stakeholder groups across Global and LOC teams, including Commercial and Medical Affairs, as well as having regular contact with strategic external vendors to identify and implement best practice solutions to drive efficiency and innovation in content operations.

You will also need to understand and follow our governance and compliance frameworks, including the Global Content Approval SOP, to ensure that we design solutions that are compliant and scalable across the organisation.

In this role you will

  • Develop strategy and roadmap for Commercial Content Systems, aligned to clear success metrics and KPIs, defensible to stakeholders and yourself
  • Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds, including collaboration with broader Medical Affairs Digital and Tech teams, to define and communicate a clear and cohesive strategy for your product area
  • Work with DevOps team, business stakeholders and commercial partners to manage and prioritise the backlog of feature requests across our Commercial content systems
  • Partner with GPS and Content SMEs to ensure that product features are designed within governance & compliance frameworks; proactively identify risks that need to be managed or escalated
  • Measure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoption
  • Work as a servant-leader to identify dependencies, remove blockers and coordinate with other product teams and key stakeholders
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through experimentation, developing hypotheses, testing assumptions and breaking down complex problems into smaller chunks to deliver a valuable product to your customers
  • Maintain high credibility and effective stakeholder relationships by understanding customer needs and translating these to tangible deliverables in your product roadmap
  • Act as the single point of accountability to make sure your product is performing to maintain high levels of satisfaction with customers around all aspects of the product (BAU and growth)
  • Manage the delivery of key commercial content initiatives to ensure that projects are delivered on time and aligned with pre-determined success criteria
  • Monitor the external environment to stay up-to-date with new and emerging technology, evaluate industry trends and help identify innovative solutions to drive efficiency and solve pain points and/or blockers to delivery
  • Work with colleagues to set an aggressive roadmap that rethinks how content can be created and approved using emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML/GenAI) which translates into significant cost savings and productivity gains.
  • Maintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping products that make our users’ lives 10x easier and eliminate upwards of 50% hard savings.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • BA/BSc degree in any discipline
  • Experience of working within a matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders to manage
  • Experience defining KPIs and OKRs to measure success
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate these into technical / process solutions
  • Proven experience in onboarding yourself and getting up to speed quickly on new products
  • Technical knowledge to understand your teams software products
  • Flexible enough to take on new products and technologies to help deliver your customers jobs to be done quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels across the organization
  • Ability to interpret large data sets to identify process trends, risks and opportunities for improvement

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Systems/SaaS experience in Life Sciences environment desired
  • Project Management experience desired
  • Extremely proactive and able to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge of Content/Copy Approval processes beneficial
  • Experience in Agile Ways of Working is an asset
