Senior Pricing Analyst

Miryco Consultants is working with a top 10 UK retail insurer to help with their search for Senior Pricing Analysts to join their motor pricing team.The Role:Create, validate, reconcile, and transform datasets for analysis and modelling.Support in the creation, maintenance and deployment of rating models that predict claims cost, conversion, or retention, leading on certain responsibilities. Contribute to the specification, development, and testing cycles for deployment of rates.Consider customer impact of changes in pricing approach/modelling, thinking about the company’s risk appetite and wider strategy. Produce and develop appropriate monitoring for pricing and other stakeholders.Assist with the development of junior colleagues, through technical training, mentoring, and process management. Build strong relationships with managers, peers, and stakeholders.Qualifications:Excellent numerical and mathematical skills.2:2 degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or evidence of equivalent mathematical proficiency.Experience in a related Insurance Pricing role, with GI personal lines strongly preferred.Awareness of appropriate statistical techniques for insurance analysis.Exposure to machine learning tools, as well as data science techniques, GLMs, GBMs, etc. Experience with Python, R, SAS, SQL or other analytical language or tools is desirable.Location: HybridSalary: £55,000 - £65,000“Please note, our client is unable to offer sponsorship for this opportunity.
