Our client is looking for an exceptional Presales Solution Lead (IBM) to work closely with their Solution Sales Specialists. In this role, you will guide customers in selecting technologies and leverage our professional services to establish trusted advisor relationships with some of the world's largest enterprises. You will be the primary technical advocate for the IBM vendor ecosystem, helping your colleagues position IBM’s technology solutions and associated services effectively.


What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IBM capabilities into our solutions and services, shaping the overall strategy and service development.
  • Stay updated on IBM’s latest developments in Storage, AI, and machine learning, applying these advancements to solve complex challenges.
  • Work independently and alongside Solution Sales Specialists and Account Managers to identify, qualify, and progress complex transformation opportunities in IBM Storage and Software.
  • Position IBM technologies within our core professional services catalog.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on technical strategy.
  • Act as an internal expert on our go-to-market propositions and advocate for these within the sales community.
  • Provide excellent presentation and documentation skills.
  • Offer technical leadership and mentorship, guiding junior team members and participating in knowledge-sharing activities.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the company at partner boards, forums, relevant events, and conferences, sharing knowledge across the business.
  • Engage with a broad virtual team including Professional Services, Managed Services, Solution Leaders, and Architects to help customers procure technology solutions and services.
  • Provide market insights and proposition updates to the Solution Sales Specialist within customer opportunities for both new and core solutions.
  • Understand customer challenges and requirements, feeding these insights into our development program to ensure solutions are aligned with market needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure technical solutions are effectively translated into customer messaging.
  • Attend customer meetings to understand and articulate both business and technical strategies.
  • Support the development of sales enablement materials and training for each solution.


What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in managing customer relationships from a technology perspective.
  • Demonstrated success in creating innovative customer solutions and identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Experience in helping customers procure professional services in conjunction with technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning frameworks.
  • Understanding of Edge, Data Center, and cloud architectures, especially in relation to Data and AI use cases.
  • Experience in developing and deploying AI models in production environments, ideally on IBM platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven pre-sales and delivery experience in enterprise Data and AI technologies.
