In this role, you will be a leader in ADP's UX Research team, reporting to the head of UX Research, where you will identify and conduct various research methods to inform what we create for ADP's Human Capital Management solutions, impacting employees and practitioners across the globe. Every day you and your team will be the voice of our users with UX designers, product managers, and developers. You're on a constant mission to understand them better by analyzing research data and asking key questions that inform our product and design decisions. You help our developers better understand their clients so that they can build a better product.


To thrive in this role, you should be proficient in team leadership and coaching individuals, actively engaging the team and measuring success. You know how to craft effective research strategy using qualitative and quantitative methods, how to explain your approach to your partners in a way that builds trust, and when to scale back. You identify potential challenges or roadblocks and mitigate risks by aligning with your leader. You prioritize work for your team and lead them through changes in plans with ease.


Most importantly, you listen to your partners with empathy, and you bring the needs of clients to the forefront of solutions. You effectively communicate research insights with ease and also know how to align stakeholders with actionable research insights. Teams rely on your guidance, backed by research to data, to identify new opportunities and drive towards desired outcomes. You focus on developing your individual team members’ growth and team culture.

What You'll Do:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Senior Manager of UX Research at ADP


● Human-focused mindset. You're passionately focused on the people who use our products and how we can improve their experience. You bring empathy about our clients to your project teams in an effective and impactful way.
● Lead. You will be managing a team of UX researchers, including hiring, training, and empowering them to be their best. Overseeing research projects from inception to completion, you’ll be ensuring high quality and actionable insights. You'll also guide your team to create research plans and execute to make these ideas a reality.
● Strategy. Through leveraging effective research methods and strategies, you play a vital role in setting the course for your team. You know how to translate product roadmaps and create research strategies to support the needs of the business.
● Collaboration. You'll work each day with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, designers, engineers to prioritize research initiatives. You will identify user needs and behaviors and communicate those effectively, advocating for a human-centered approach in all projects.
● Data-Driven Decision Making. You know how to collect quantitative and qualitative data to meet product goals and support data-driven design. You help your team analyze and interpret research data into insights that can guide product decisions.
● Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from one-on-one conversations with direct reports to developing a research strategy across products.. You keep up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes and methdologies.


TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
• You'll have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and an extensive commercial track record of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in user research in B2B and/or B2C enterprise organizations.
• Prior experience in user experience research across software products, web, and/or mobile applications, along with experience with research and prototyping tools like Qualtrics, UserZoom, UserTesting, and Figma will give you the comfort in this role to be successful.
• Added bonus if you have expertise in user behavior analytics, workshop facilitation skills, product strategy, or have worked in a continuous research & discovery framework.
