Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.You will work on:The Recommender Systems group is tasked with delivering highly relevant, personalised product ranking and recommendations to users across the entire Viator product. Further improving our product rankings with state-of-the-art approaches has high-level executive support and is a crucial part of the company's 3-year strategy.Get to work on a variety of Recsys modalities using a modern tech stack with a freedom to explore modelling approaches to find the optimal solution.Design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to enhance customer satisfaction, increase supplier value, optimize business results, and ensure infrastructure efficiency.Collaborate with product managers and various business stakeholders to ensure top-quality outcomes to meet internal objectives.Investigate and adopt innovative concepts that offer tangible benefits.To be successful in the role, you'll need:5+ years of hands-on data science experience.In-depth knowledge of AI/ML/DL, Statistics, and related open-source libraries.Previous experience of working on industrial grade recommendation systems and ideally familiarity with offline evaluation techniques.Awareness of current ML techniques, keen on self-improvement and striving to solve real-world data challenges.Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language.To be comfortable in code reviews, discussing architecture, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for regular model deployments.Experience in deploying online solutions and analysing real-time results through A/B testing.To be passionate about mentoring junior members of the team, and have a strong desire to help us perform to the best of our ability.Leadership qualities, autonomy, and team collaboration skills.Clear communication skills, awareness of the audience, and proactive sharing of findings. Actively involved in business networking and able to communicate complex ideas across the business simply and effectively.Desired qualifications:Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative disciplines.Knowledge in (any or all) User Modelling, Representation Learning, Large Language Models (LLM).Prior experience in e-commerce or at an Online Travel Agency.
