We’re working with an insurance client on a cutting-edge AI Copilot for underwriting, they’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (MLOps Focus) to own the production backbone of this platform.


You’ll sit at the intersection of ML, DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure, enabling data scientists to move fast while ensuring models are deployed securely, reliably and at scale.


📍 Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in Central London

📅 Start Date: 12th Jan for an initial 3 months

💼 IR35: Outside IR35 - rate depending on experience


🔑 The Role


You’ll take technical ownership of the ML production environment, supporting the full lifecycle from experimentation to live deployment for an AI underwriting Copilot.


Key responsibilities include:


🔹Leading task planning, workload allocation and delivery coordination

🔹Owning CI/CD and multi-environment release workflows via Azure Pipelines

🔹Building and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform

Managing Azure cloud deployments (networking, identity, security, environment)

🔹Supporting Databricks & MLflow

🔹Enabling data scientists with scalable environments

🔹Developing Python-based automation, tooling and pipelines

🔹Supporting agent-based systems (LangChain / LangGraph, orchestration, logging, monitoring)


🎯 What We’re Looking For:


  • Strong experience as a Senior ML Engineer / MLOps Engineer / ML Platform Engineer
  • Commercial MLOps experience with MLflow & Databricks
  • Deep Terraform expertise for Azure infrastructure
  • Hands-on Azure DevOps / CI-CD / multi-environment deployment
  • Strong Python engineering skills
  • Experience supporting agentic AI / LLM pipelines
  • Comfortable working with data scientists in fast-moving product teams
  • Confident technical communicator with delivery leadership skills
