Medtronic-Digital Technologies is creating ambitious new products that bring connectivity, real-time guidance, and decision support to the operating room. To support this mission, we are developing compact, high-performance, embedded systems that enable edge computing and connectivity. 

We are currently looking for an exceptional product manager to oversee the development of our data & AI platform. You will work with computer vision, data science & governance teams, to understand their needs and convert them into features. Working with our engineering teams, you will ensure that our data & AI platform is performant and scalable to meet the growing demand for data products within Medtronic. Successful delivery of our data and AI platform capabilities will ultimately accelerate intelligent solutions that empower surgeons and improve outcomes for patients.

A Day in the Life 
Responsibilities includes:
• Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the data platform
• Understand and incorporate data ethics and information governance policies into product solutions
• Define and prioritise product features and enhancements based on user feedback, business priorities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding the data platform 
• Gather feedback from internal customers and work with engineering to convert that feedback into detailed product specifications and acceptance criteria
• Maintain documentation, ensuring platform features meet Medtronic's governance standards

Must Haves 
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field 
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, with a focus on data platforms, big data, or machine-learning development
• Strong understanding of data engineering, data science and machine learning concepts and workflows
• Experience working with modern data & cloud technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills and experience maintaining project documentation
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience using product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.)

Nice to Haves
• Experience in an R&D environment
• Familiarity with developing products in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices as they relate to software as a medical device
• You are flexible – you can independently solve problems as they arise but are comfortable asking for help when needed
