Job Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Game Data Analyst to join our Racing business, which is responsible for the CSR Racing franchise, including the #1 Racing Game on Mobile, CSR2 and the groundbreaking next installment, CSR3.
As a Senior Analyst, you will be working closely with the rest of the team to create high-quality insights and analytical products that help inform actions for the partner teams in the studio. We have millions of players that generate rich and complex datasets alongside a strong analytics infrastructure. You will be part of a dedicated in-house team responsible for amazing analytics and data science that wow our partners and take a player-first approach.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Provide critical thinking and problem solving as a product analyst partner with stakeholders. Use complex data to identify opportunities to drive value for studio/players Design and analyze experiments that inform decisions and help us continue to delight players Deliver actionable insight as a cross discipline partner to influence decisions/roadmaps, etc Impactfully communicate with compelling visuals/strong storytelling Be an effective cross discipline partner in studio, collaborate with global analytics community Deliver robust modeling: supervised, unsupervised, etc Contributing to the innovative thinking culture of our local and global analytics discipline Deploy good programming principles. Work with peers on end to end data pipelines: Telemetry > ETL’s > empowering end users
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in preferred topics: Data Science, Math, Statistics, Comp Sci, Engineering, Economics or other technical field; Advanced degrees welcome Proven track record as an Analyst, preferably within gaming, technology or digital Confident in manipulating, transforming, and analyzing complex data at large scales Experience with: SQL and Python, excited to learn new languages where needed Big Data infrastructures: Redshift, Spark, Databricks or others BI tools like Tableau or building out bespoke visuals/tools using open source Multi-variant testing design and read-outs Passionate about analytics and/or Data Science with a growth mindset, excited to work with complexity and sometimes ambiguity and drive solutions Demonstrated stakeholder partnering and/or consultancy skills Good influencing skills and enjoys working with partners across disciplines Strong balance of business acumen alongside analytical and technical skills Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity with the ability to problem-solve creatively Excellent communication skills, comfortable explaining complex ideas clearly and simply
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience with Discovery, Prediction and Optimization analytical techniques An interest in the games market and/or enjoys engaging in games/digital apps
