Senior Data Scientist

Our client is seeking aData Scientistto take charge of their advanced AI-driven technology that powers real-time data analysis and feedback in various applications. As the company’s first dedicated Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in leading the development of machine learning (ML) models and algorithms, currently overseen by the Head of Engineering and Chief Product Officer (CPO). You’ll collaborate closely with these leaders to further enhance and scale AI capabilities within the company’s product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CPO and Head of Engineering to lead the development and refinement of AI-powered technology.
• Design and implement algorithms to analyze real-time data and provide actionable insights.
• Use statistical and machine learning techniques to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical and product requirements are met.
• Work with QA to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring smooth deployment of new features.
• Communicate effectively with Customer Support and Marketing teams during feature releases.
• Provide leadership and mentorship as the data science function expands.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Data Scientist within a startup or fast-growing environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, Python, or similar.
• Strong background in developing and implementing machine learning models.
• Expertise in feature extraction from time-series or sequential data.
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, statistics, and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
