Senior Data Scientist – Epigenetics

Location:London (Hybrid, 2 days remote)

A stealth-mode biotech startup is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive innovation. You’ll work on cutting-edge omics and machine learning projects using non-invasive epigenetic data to develop predictive diagnostics and personalized treatments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop ML models for epigenetic data
  • Analyze DNA methylation and integrate clinical/phenotypic data
  • Build and scale analysis pipelines on AWS
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional R&D team
  • Present findings and contribute to strategic decisions

Requirements:

  • MSc/PhD or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, CS, or related field
  • +2 years’ experience in Data Science outside of Academia
  • Strong Python and cloud computing (AWS/GCP/Azure) skills
  • Experience with NGS data, version control, and CI/CD

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with DNA methylation and GWAS
  • Familiarity with research governance and secure data environments
  • Interest in AI/ML integration in healthtech
