Senior Data Scientist

Xcede has started working with the largest law firm in the world. Wanting to grow their data solutions function, your work will be deployed across a truly global legal network, influencing how clients are advised in over 80 countries!

You will leverage data to improve the efficiency of legal operations, inform strategic decisions, and provide anticipatory insights to an international client base. You will also apply advanced technical expertise to design innovative technological solutions, develop proof of concepts and evolve them into robust, cloud-hosted systems.

This role will involve working with many different people such as including lawyers, IT professionals, innovation practitioners, third-party collaborators and stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrable senior-level experience applying data science and analytical techniques, supported by a rigorous quantitative education or equivalent professional background in STEM.
  • Strong capabilities in programming languages and Python libraries for analytical insight and ML platforms
  • Deep knowledge of ML principles with experience in delivering complete ML solutions from development through to deployment.
  • Practical experience delivering data engineering solutions, including the design and operation of data pipelines, use of container technologies, and development of application programming interfaces.
  • Exposure to model deployment and operations and LLMs to improve business outcomes
  • Proficiency with streamlit
  • Hands-on experience working within cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, including the deployment and management of cloud-based data and AI services; relevant cloud or AI certifications are advantageous.
  • A collaborative working style, with experience partnering effectively with multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A forward-looking, inquisitive approach, with a clear commitment to ongoing professional development
