Senior Cargo Analyst (wet bulk) Location: London (1 to2 days in office) Engagement Duration: 3 months - potential extend/ go permanent Salary: £450 - £500 per day (inside IR35) Potentialfor Full-time Role: Based on project outcome (No sponsorshipoffered) Overview We are seeking a Senior Cargo Analyst with astrong understanding of cargo trades, particularly wet bulk , andfamiliarity with sanctions compliance and maritime industryregulations. This role is critical for delivering a comprehensivedataset analysing cargo data over an 2-3 month engagement, with apossibility of extending. Depending on project success, thisposition may transition to a full-time role. EssentialQualifications Experience: 3-5 years in OSINT research, dataanalytics, or modelling; senior analyst or team lead in businessintelligence, consultancy, or data research. Consulting &Analysis: Proven experience as a consultant or lead analyst oncomplex datasets, delivering productionised models in an agileenvironment. Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managingstakeholders, including external clients. Strategic Thinking:Customer-centric approach with a history of driving productinnovation. Problem Solving: Proactive and businesssolution-focused problem solver. Communication: Ability to simplifycomplex themes for methodology documents and communicate strategicrecommendations to C-suite leaders. Project Management: Excellentskills in project management, prioritising tasks, and meetingdeadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities TaskExecution: Complete all tasks within agreed project deadlines.Customer Requirements: Capture and playback customer requirements,ensuring deliverables meet the project scope. Agile Work: Operatein an agile format with two-week sprints, delivering on projecttimelines and driving commercial growth. Team Collaboration: Workclosely with product management, data engineering, data science,and front-end development teams. Process Documentation: Documentkey processes and methodologies, providing confident and conciserecommendations. Training & Onboarding: Train and onboard newcolleagues as required, promoting collaboration and knowledgesharing within data teams. Client Engagement: Serve as asubject-matter expert, attending client calls alongside sales andproduct management. Desirable Qualifications Maritime IndustryKnowledge: Comprehensive understanding of different segments of themaritime industry is a significant benefit. Innovation: Dynamicapproach to problem-solving. Commercial Acumen: Understanding ofworking with CAPEX budgets and product discovery. Coaching Skills:Ability to coach and train junior analysts and peers. CompetitorAnalysis: Experience with competitor mapping and benchmarking usingopen-source and primary interviews. Presentation Skills: Confidentin presenting to internal and external audiences. Customer QueryResolution: Experience in resolving complex customer queries.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Big Data management tools likeSQL, Python, or experience with natural language processing (NLP)datasets is an advantage.
