About the Role

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining a multi-cloud, data science platform. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for service and API design, backend Python implementation, CI/CD rollout, and ensuring quality standards across a multi-service platform. You’ll play a key role in integrating MLOps workflows with AI capabilities, delivering robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.

A Day in the Life:

• Collaborating closely with product managers, team leads, and senior engineers to meet service requirements.
• Designing and implementing APIs, services, and packages to enhance the platform.
• Developing and enhancing CI/CD processes to maintain accountability and quality.
• Working on key aspects of MLOps workflow and integrating AI features.
• Aligning technical solutions with business objectives and user needs.

Job Requirements:

This position offers the opportunity to combine Cloud Native Infrastructure expertise with Python engineering, simplifying complex flows for end-users. Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, or related fields, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in production-level Python cloud applications or machine learning engineering.
• Strong Python skills and experience with distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Cloud Native Infrastructure (GCP, Azure, AWS) and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Helm, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of MLOps, particularly on cloud environments like Vertex, Sagemaker, or Synapse, is a plus.
• Familiarity with full-stack development is ideal (REST backends and SPA frontends).
