Trilateral Research is recruiting for aSenior Air Quality Analystto join ourInnovation & Researchteam within the United Kingdom.


The Senior Air Quality Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of research, insights, and innovations in the areas of ethical AI (Artificial Intelligence), air pollution, environment, and health on behalf of Trilateral Research.


This role will be a thought leader and participate in/lead multiple projects on behalf of Trilateral in addition to representing our offering externally, including business development. In collaboration with peers, this position provides direction and supports the development of innovation and research projects related to air quality and net zero.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Sales & Networking

  • Drive business development efforts and develop key client accounts and relationships to support cross-selling activities, both internally and externally, e.g., with Microsoft and AWS.
  • Represent Trilateral in related networks, events, conferences, working groups and activities that allow for the demonstration of expertise, building a respective and recognisable brand towards target markets.
  • Liaise with marketing to support and nurture appropriate marketing efforts to develop brand awareness across target markets.


Subject Matter Expertise within Product Development & Innovation

  • Provide subject matter expertise to support product development and innovation efforts in a sociotechnical manner that has a tangible impact for clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support delivery of sociotech insights to clients in specific projects as appropriate, ensuring high quality insights and impact.


Contract & Project Management 

  • Plan and supervise all aspects of projects, from inception to execution, ensuring that objectives are carried out on time and within budget.
  • Lead project management, administration, and quality assurance tasks across specified projects, working with colleagues as appropriate to deliver these.
  • Execute contract management activities for specified projects.
  • Support regular catch-up calls/meetings with clients.


Team & Department Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team and cross-teams to ensure efficient and excellent delivery of activities.
  • Participate in scrums, meetings and other project or team related activities as required.
  • Build strategic relationships with key business and technical representatives internally to leverage best use of expertise externally.


Thought Leadership

  • Display thought leadership in an ongoing manner through publication, popular press, and related events.



Required education and experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and a publication record in a relevant environmental or public health field.
  • Relevant professional experience in air quality, including experience of analysing air pollution data with a focus on human impact (health, economic or experiential).
  • Existing network in relevant space to support the uptake of our offering.


Desirable:

  • PhD qualification in related subject matter area.

  • Evidence of project management skills (planning, risk mitigation, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • Ability to lead a team to execute high quality standards, within budget and on-time.
  • Problem-solving and analytical capabilities, combined with an ability to carefully follow instructions and processes to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a demonstrable ability to plan and engage in foresight activities and execute against a strategy.



Interpersonal skills

Essential:

  • Excellent listening and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Evidence of strong relationship management and ability to build trust in internal and external working relationships.

What else do I need to know?

Location: This position is open to candidates based in theUnited Kingdom.

Contract type:Permanent employment contract.

Start date: ASAP.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Hours: Full-time.
